Follow Steps #1 -4 Before Starting Design Choice

Gather Your Choice of Premixed Paint Color(s), 5 Strands Of Beads, Plastic Liner

You May Use The 24 Inch Chains In Place Of The Beads For This Technique

Apply Paint To Beads

  • Layout plastic liner beside the prepared canvas

  • Layout onto of the plastic liner five strands of beads, three 30-inch and two 15-inch, lay them straight, and touching together side by side

  • Gently and slowly squeeze the applicator bottle using the applicator tip to place the paint directly onto the beads

  • Leave 2 inches at the bottom of the beads without paint, providing a place to hold onto for when you are ready to pull the paint

  • Use a solid color or alternate the colors as you go to create contrast and a beautiful pattern

  • Make sure the beads are covered completely with paint

Place First Three Strands Of Beads

  • Place the first three strands of beads on the canvas following the S shape pattern as shown below

  • Add more paint directly onto the beads as needed making sure they are covered completely

  • Leave the bottom 2-inch unpainted end of each strand of beads hanging off the edge of the canvas, providing a place to hold onto for when you are ready to pull the paint

Pull Each Strand Of Beads

  • One at a time pull each strand of beads by the unpainted end

  • Gently and slowly, pull the beads towards you, dragging the strand of beads along the canvas surface pulling it all the way off the edge of the canvas

  • Place the beads into the bucket of water until you are ready for cleanup

  • Repeat the process for each strand of beads until they are all pulled off the canvas edge

  • Place the beads into the bucket of water until you are ready for cleanup

  • Place the last two strands of beads on the canvas following the S shape pattern as shown below

  • Add more paint directly onto the beads as needed making sure they are covered completely

  • Leave the bottom 2-inch unpainted end of each strand of beads hanging off the edge of the canvas, providing you a place to hold onto for when you are ready to pull the paint

  • One at a time pull each strand of beads by the unpainted end

  • Gently and slowly, pull the beads towards you, dragging the strand of beads along the canvas surface pulling it all the way off the edge of the canvas

  • Place the beads into the bucket of water as you pull them off of the canvas until you are ready for cleanup

Border or Flower

Gather The Balloon

  • Inflate a balloon one-third of the way, to 3 inches in diameter (about the size of an orange), and secure it with a knot

  • You can add a little water in the balloon to add weight for better control

  • Note: To pull the paint with the balloon, hold it by positioning the tied-off end between your index and middle fingers; this will enhance your grip and provide better control over the balloon

  • Using the paint leftover on plastic liner, press the bottom of the small balloon into the paint color(s)

  • Press the balloon onto the bottom edge of the canvas and, if desired, along the sides to pull the paint and form a flower impression, creating a beautiful border.

  • If you don't like the first pull redo it over until the desired design is achieved
